Immediate termination
Child sexual abuse material. Attacks against critical infrastructure such as hospitals, utilities or emergency services. Origination of network floods against third parties. Phishing infrastructure impersonating banks, payment providers or public services. Distribution of malware or ransomware command and control. These are the only categories where we act without notice and without refund, and where we act on our own initiative rather than waiting for legal process.
Suspension with notice
Unsolicited bulk email. Port scanning or brute-force traffic directed at networks that have not authorised it. Copyright infringement following a valid notice, where you do not respond within seventy-two hours. Cryptocurrency mining on shared-core plans, which degrades other customers and is fine on dedicated-core plans. In each case you get notice, a window to fix it, and a person to talk to.
Explicitly allowed
VPN and proxy endpoints, for yourself or for others. Tor middle relays and bridges in every location. Tor exit nodes in Amsterdam, Reykjavik and Bucharest, after opening a ticket. Security research, including scanning targets that have authorised you. Adult content that is legal where the hardware sits. Political speech, journalism and archives of it. Anonymous registration and anonymous payment.
Resource use
Use what you bought. On fair-share plans, sustained full load on all cores for hours at a time is what the plan is for; we throttle nothing and we send no warning emails. If your workload genuinely affects neighbours we will move you to another node at our own cost, not restrict you.
Reporting abuse
Send reports to the abuse address on the contact page with full headers or packet captures. We acknowledge within four hours and act within twenty-four. We forward reports to the customer with your contact details removed unless the report concerns an immediate-termination category.
