Why Dubai
Traffic between Europe, South Asia and East Africa converges on the Gulf, and Dubai is the commercial end of it. Pick DXB1 when the users are in the GCC, Pakistan or India and a European site would add most of a hundred milliseconds for no reason you can defend.
How Dubai is connected
The UAE's landing stations are at Fujairah, on the Gulf of Oman side and deliberately clear of the Strait of Hormuz; SEA-ME-WE, AAE-1, FALCON and IMEWE all terminate there and are backhauled the short distance inland. UAE-IX and Equinix's Dubai exchange are where regional carriers and content networks actually meet. Mumbai is close; Frankfurt is not.

FAQ
Questions about Dubai
Prices in Dubai are indexed at 130% of the base list, which reflects local transit and power cost. The annual cycle takes thirty percent off that, and ordering several servers on one invoice takes a further three to ten percent. The table above shows both cycles.
Median provisioning at DXB1 is under a minute from confirmed payment. Windows images take three to four minutes because of sysprep. Nothing in the flow waits for a human.

United Arab Emirates / DIFC Data Protection Law. Free-zone hosting. We comply with valid legal process issued by that jurisdiction and nothing beyond it, and we publish the counts twice a year in our transparency report.
Yes. VPN and proxy endpoints are one of the most common workloads in every CrestVPS location, Dubai included, and nothing in the acceptable use policy restricts them. Tor middle relays and bridges are allowed everywhere; exit nodes are limited to Amsterdam, Reykjavik and Bucharest.
